I’m very grateful to announce that I from now on will be teaching the “D-class” every Thursday evening 20:15 at SUNYOGA in Friedrichshain where I have been practicing hot yoga since I moved to Berlin.
SUNYOGA Berlin is Berlin’s first and largest hot yoga studio and one of Germany’s first. They offer a variety of highly effective yoga traditions practiced in a heated room and customized to meet the various abilities and needs of all practitioners. Most hot yoga methods are available at our Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain locations: Hot Hatha Yoga, Hot Vinyasa and Hot Yoga-Pilates. Whether novice or expert, young or old, carrying a few extra kilos or trim and slim, SUN YOGA improves strength and flexibility, promotes weight loss, builds muscle, and helps reduce stress..
About SUNYOGA D-class:
"Long-slow-deep" is the motto for this class, which is suitable for absolutely everyone. At 35°C, listening to soothing sounds, you will send yourself on a journey. Simple sequences like moon salutations ensure optimal warm-up. Individual postures are held longer in order to increase body awareness and deepen breath, stretch, and alignment. Accompanied by Pranayama breathing, this class creates a relaxed elation that carries you through the evening.
I will be mixing in the ground principals of Scaraveli inspired Hatha yoga, which was the main part of my YTT in India. This style of yoga is a unique were listening to the body is the main focus, as well as dropping all ambition and allowing the body to move freely in at out of a pose. Enabling one to explore a pose more creative, while keeping ones connection to ground-breath-spine in a balances coherence.
